Video: Controlling Toxic Chemicals

Because current chemical laws are so outdated, the typical American is exposed to hundreds of chemicals from cleaning products, non-stick kitchen pans, stain resistant furniture and other products used every day. All this toxic exposure is linked to cancer, fertility problems and learning disabilities; health problems that could be avoided if better, federal chemical laws were put in place.

New Jersey Senator, Frank Lautenberg has introduced the Safe Chemical Act of 2011 which “puts the mandate on companies to confirm safety before chemicals reach the market.” The new bill is designed to update the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) that is now 35 years old and according to the EPA, is showing its age and limitations.

I don't see them showing any fragrance chemicals there and that is one of the most pervasive.
